LICHTPOST / CORONA / Holendrecht Amsterdam Zuid-Oost

In Lichtpost (Light Post) artists Femke Kempkes and Machteld Aardse work together on social themes, such as Corona and Loneliness. The content is made by children and transformed into light artwork. Lichtpost is realised in many places: Alphen aan de Rijn, Amsterdam Zuid Oost, throughout the Netherlands.

During Corona they got the opportunity to work with children form IMC Weekendschool in the public space of Holendrecht Zuid Oost, opposite of the hospital Amsterdam UMC. Thanks to Pronorm B.V. hand-written messages and drawings for loved ones were transformed into large-scale slides (18x18cm) and site specific projected in large scale, on view from the hospital, the high way and the metro station.
